Investment casting is a , metal process of single piece construction, which has much superiority in tolerance and surface to sand casting. Metal mold makes was or plastic replica. These are sprued, then surrounded with investment material, bake out and metal is poured in the resultant cavity. Molds are broken to remove the castings.
